The Nauams Gravel Grind, created in collaboration with Cycletec, is an epic test of endurance and skill, taking riders through one of Namibia’s most stunning cycling routes. The journey begins with a spectacular descent down Remhoogte Pass, dropping from the highlands into the vast open spaces where the desert begins to unfold. The route winds its way past the iconic settlement of Solitaire, before turning toward the ultimate challenge—the legendary climb up Spreetshoogte Pass. Known as one of Namibia’s steepest and most scenic roads, Spreetshoogte rewards riders with unmatched panoramic views of the Namib Desert—a moment that defines the spirit of this event.

At Nauams, the experience doesn’t end at the finish line. Whether you stay at our new Farmyard Chalets, relax in a wood-fired hot tub at our Mountain Cabins, or gather at our //Khāes Overland Outpost, you’ll find everything you need to recover and celebrate. The event supports the entire region, and riders can also find great accommodation nearby at Stofpad Campsite and Lodge, Namibgrens, Barkhan Dunes Retreat and Spreetshoogte Campsite.
